The Grass is Greener in 2013

Have you heard the news? Pantone has just released their 2013 color of the year and, much to our delight, it’s Emerald! It seems everyone has been taking notice of this luscious hue (malachite, anyone?) so it only makes sense for both the interior and fashion worlds to embrace it for the upcoming new year.

The Washington Post remarked, “The color reminds us of simpler things such as grass and Mother Nature…Green is the color of growth and signifies America in 2013…The rich tone is all about luxury, just like jewels and money….” Amen to that.

We love pairing this versatile color with other deep jewel tones, like peacock blue and peppy pink. And right now is the perfect time to start incorporating greens into your reportoire given the holiday season. In case you hadn’t noticed, Christmas trees, wreaths, elves costumes, mistletoe…all green! Being on trend has never been so easy.
