Inspired by: Alexis Swanson Traina’s Salon Tablescape

What is not to love about Mrs. Alexis Swanson Traina? Never mind her to-die-for San Francisco home, her cheeky lifestyle blog, or her expansive knowledge of vino – it’s her undeniable personal style that makes her one to watch. As a wife, mother of two, Creative Director of Swanson Vineyards, and socialite extraordinaire, Alexis definitely has her hands full but she seems to manage it all with elegance and pizzazz.

One of the many things which makes Swanson Vineyards, located in Napa Valley, so special is their “Salon Tastings.” Inspired by the famous political, art, and literary salons of 18th century Paris, the idea is to create a wine tasting experience that feels more like an intimate dinner party.

House Beautiful recently caught up with Alexis and her mother Elizabeth for a sneak peek inside the salon. The poppy red walls, classic silver candelabras, fall flowers, and fine linens instantly made us think what fabulous inspiration for our Thanksgiving table! The cozy setting and personal touches make you feel right at home, don’t you think?

Check out our suggestions on how you can recreate the look just in time for the holidays. And don’t forget the most important accessory of all…good wine!
