Insight from the Design Bloggers Conference

We attended the fab Design Bloggers Conference in Los Angeles last week and wanted to share some of what we learned with you! But first a couple of pics to set the scene…

Last year the conference focused a lot on the emergence of online-only magazines, but this year we noticed the spotlight on something different:

  • Pinterest, which has taken off in popularity lately as a great way for people to keep up with design inspiration
  • And online retailers like One Kings Lane and Joss & Main, which have made designer furnishings and accessories more accessible
Macala Wright

There were many great speakers and interesting topics discussed, and we thought Macala Wright’s presentation on “How to Build a Successful Blog” was one of the most valuable. Macala of FashionablyMarketing.Me was smart, helpful and full of great tips!

The biggest takeaways were that you should be yourself and be original. Wish you could have seen her presentation? You can because it’s online! Just click this link to check it out. XO
